CRG is here to help connect people with services and supplies to those that dont have transport or are at risk and do not wish to go out including;
- Food deliveries
- Medicine delivery from chemist
- General welfare checks and calls
We have several volunteers following strict non contact guidelines to facilitate this.
Call Beth or Barry and we will do our very best to help.
All deliveries are now contactless
To help keep our team and customers safe and healthy, we have temporarily moved to a contactless delivery service for all deliveries. Your delivery driver will knock on your door, leave the groceries on your doorstep and send you a text message to let you know your delivery has arrived.
Temporary limits in place
We’re continuing to see a high demand for certain products. To help make sure there’s some for everyone, we have introduced a temporary limit of two similar items per order across all food and groceries, with the exception of produce and deli, and baby food (pouches, jars and tins) which have a limit of six per order.
We want to encourage customers to shop as they normally would and not to stockpile; there is plenty of food available but we need to be able to get this through the network and out to stores.
We will get you what we can
At the moment we may not be able to source the exact item you have ordered so please tick ‘Allow substitutions’ at the online checkout and we will get you what we can. Our personal shoppers will not be able to phone you to check substitutions, but we’ll do our best to get it right.
If we’re not able to fulfill your order, you won’t be charged for the items we have not supplied. This will be processed by the bank without you needing to contact us.
Refunds are aking longer to process than usual and could take as long as four days.
If you need a refund then our virtual assistant ‘Olive’ can help with that. You can find Olive on our contact us page.
Delivery and Pick up slots are mostly full
With the increased demand on our services, our Delivery and Pick up slots are mostly full. The available time slots are shown for the next seven days and we recommend booking early. We are working on adding more slots as quickly as we can.
Once again, thank you for your continued understanding and patience during this time of unprecedented demand. We encourage all our customers to shop as you normally would, and to be thoughtful of others to ensure that all Kiwis have access to the food and products they need.
We will be taking orders either by email, phone or text. We will deliver the orders either ourselves or by courier or they will be available for pickup outside the shop.
We will not be requiring any of our staff to work during this period so please bear with us if we are a bit slow in processing orders.
We don’t know how well this is going to work but we will do our best to make it happen.
The best way to order is by email.
**Update 27-3-2020 – Delivery now available to vulnerable people***
Delivery to 70+ and those with compromised immune systems
We are starting our delivery service for those considered high risk (eg. 70years +, Immune compromised etc.). There is no extra charge for this service as we recognise the importance of self-isolating during this time.
There are two payment options available depending if you are in strict no contact (internet banking) or can use a mobile EFTPOS machine we bring during delivery (2m distancing observed + sanitised after each use).
We cannot stress enough this is to be used for those that are unable to make it to the store or don’t have someone in the community that can get to the store and get the items for you. This is something we are new at and will be added to the team’s work load so please bear with us.
Managed customer numbers in store
Stores will be limiting the number of shoppers in-store at any one time. This is incredibly important to ensure you can move freely around to get your grocery essentials and maintain a safe physical distance away from others.
Reduced number of staff on shop floor
Stores may reduce the number of employees working on the shop floor at any one time. This is to maintain the recommended 2 metre physical distance between individuals. Please respect the appropriate physical distance recommendation as per the Ministry of Health’s guidelines.
Pack your own bags
We’re now requesting that you please pack your own bags, as one of our staff protection measures, but do ask for assistance if this is not possible.
We’d like to help you get through your shopping as safely and quickly as possible – for a full list of all current adjustments to Four Square stores, please visit our website.
And please remember to:
Nominate a family member to shop
We’re asking you to please shop alone. This is to ensure we can keep the number of people in-store at any one time to a minimum.
Please shop like you normally would and remember there is no need to stockpile. Please only buy what you need and be fair to others who may not have the budget or transportation to stock up. There is enough supply in New Zealand – when products are out of stock on the shelves, it only means there are more on the way to keep up with the sudden increase in purchases.
With everything that’s going on in the world it’s important that we continue to be kind and considerate towards other shoppers, staff and one another. Together, we can nail this. Remember, we’ll remain open – Four Square is a core essential service and we are fully dedicated to supporting New Zealand through this.
